Martin Stratil, also known by his stage name EMES, is a Czech DJ and music producer specialising in house music. Based in the Czech Republic, EMES has built a reputation for delivering dynamic sets that showcase the depth and energy of house. His performances are defined by seamless mixing, and a distinctive style that resonates with both underground spaces and larger stages.

LOGO DESIGN

Logo Design

I was commissioned to design a logo for an industrial recruitment company, with the requirement to incorporate four symbolic elements. To reflect diversity and inclusivity, I used geometric shapes and primary colours, creating a balanced mark that subtly represents both masculine and feminine forms. The final logo was designed to be bold, scalable, and versatile for use across digital and print applications.

TYPOGRAPHY

Typography

The original typeface competed with the brand’s circular icon, creating visual tension. I recommended switching to Roboto — a rounded sans-serif that feels modern, approachable, and easy to read. Its softer shapes complement the logo’s geometry, bringing the brand into better visual harmony.

COLOUR PALETTE

Colour Palette

Using colour harmony tools, we reworked the existing palette — softening certain tones and introducing a fresh accent colour to add depth and flexibility. The update ensures colours remain consistent and vibrant across both digital and print platforms, while aligning with a more professional and polished brand image. This refined palette not only enhances visual appeal but also creates stronger brand recognition.

The goal was to keep the design simple yet striking, letting his image take centre stage to create a strong personal connection with listeners. The layout was optimised to display well across both desktop and mobile, ensuring consistency and professionalism on his music profile.
